Adrea Zaleski
MS, LPC, ACS, MFTC
Owner and Clinical Director of Zia Healing and Wellness
Adrea Zaleski is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate (MFTC). She holds a Master of Science in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Walden University and has been serving the Colorado Springs community for over seven years. Adrea is passionate about supporting individuals and couples as they navigate the challenges and transitions that arise throughout life.
Adrea is a trauma-informed clinician who specializes in working with men and women who have experienced physical abuse, emotional neglect, trauma, and attachment injuries. She offers a safe and validating space where clients can begin to process painful experiences and move toward healing and integration. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based methods tailored to the needs of each individual. She primarily works from an Intergenerational Family Systems perspective and is trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART – Basic & Advanced) and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM). ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and RTM (Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories) are two specialized trauma interventions that are healing many clients with PTSD by helping the brain reconsolidate distressing memories and reduce the physiological and emotional responses associated with them — without requiring clients to provide detailed or graphic accounts of the event.
Adrea has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in the Gottman Method of Couples Therapy and is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), allowing her to support couples in rebuilding trust, deepening connection, resolving conflict, and improving intimacy.
Before entering the mental health field, Adrea proudly served as a Human Resources Non-Commissioned Officer in the United States Army for 9 years. As a proud veteran and military spouse to a retired Apache Helicopter Pilot, Adrea has been part of the military community for over 20 years. Together they have raised three children ages 20, 19, and 12, giving Adrea a unique understanding of the complexities military families often face. Adrea’s professional background includes counseling at a local group practice and at Evans Army Community Hospital’s Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. She brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work, creating a warm, supportive, and goal‑oriented therapeutic space.
Adrea believes in each individual's ability to develop insight, shift patterns, and move toward a more fulfilling life. She is honored to support this process in a safe, compassionate space here at Zia Healing and Wellness.

Lucy Schulz
M.Ed, LPC
Mental Health Therapist
Lucy Schulz is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She graduated with her Master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Vanderbilt University and has a passion for working with Complex/developmental trauma and attachment wounding.
Lucy frequently uses EMDR, guided imagery, inner child work, mindfulness, and somatic work in her practice. Trauma often robs us of our sense of safety and control –not just in our environment, but also our bodies and in connection with others. Lucy utilizes Polyvagal Theory and Nervous System Regulation to help her clients begin to feel safe and connected within themselves and the world again. As we begin to feel a greater sense of safety in the world, we are able to let in more exploration, play, self-expression and joy.
Lucy’s deepest intention is to create a safe container for healing and transformation to unfold. Lucy believes that our bodies and nervous systems carry the untold stories of our past pain and that healing begins by remembering and giving voice to these stories in the presence of a compassionate witness. Rather than trying to change or ‘fix’ you,Lucy holds the possibility for a deep sense of wholeness to emerge from integrating and reclaiming the parts of you that were dis-membered during and after trauma or loss. Lucy will gently invite you to breathe into and give life to those lost places within that have been waiting to be found.

Aubrey Reel
MA, LPCC
Mental Health Therapist
Aubrey Reel is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Aubrey provides individual counseling for ages 18+. She is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Aubrey has experience working with complex trauma and PTSD and has a passion for working with those who have experienced emotional, physical, spiritual, and/or narcissistic abuse.
Aubrey believes that navigating our lives should be an exciting adventure and an empowering experience. Throughout each season of life, we are presented with challenges that have the capacity to add incredible joy and meaning to our lives. We also experience great pain, disappointment, abuse, and loss, which can cause us to lose trust in our intuition, doubt our significance, and become disconnected from our authentic selves. We lose our sense of safety in the world, our sense of purpose, and our connectedness in relationships. Our compass no longer points true north. We can feel lost and confused and start living to survive instead of thriving.
As a counselor and as a fellow human being who has struggled, Aubrey believes that re-establishing trust in our intuition is key. The body has innate wisdom that guides us toward authenticity and truth. Whether clients have a particular goal in mind or they’re not yet able to articulate what’s wrong, their feelings (physical and emotional) are directing them toward healing, growth, and change. Acknowledging the pain and asking for help requires courage and vulnerability, and she considers it a privilege to create space for that sacred work to take place. Aubrey seeks to develop a therapeutic relationship with clients built on acceptance, honesty, and mutual trust while collaboratively working toward their goals.
Aubrey works through an emotionally focused lens, looking beneath the surface of painful feelings to uncover unmet needs, desires, and attachment injuries, revealing patterns of thought and behavior that once served to keep her clients safe but have now become barriers to connection, healing, and growth.
She knows personally and professionally that healing is possible, and desires for others to experience relief and once again feel excited and empowered as they navigate their lives!
On a personal note, Aubrey is the oldest of seven children and enjoys large family dynamics, a homeschooling mother of two daughters, an avid reader, and a lover of cats ( Maine Coons are her favorite).
